NEW NUMBER to remember.
988 Veterans press 1
I remind myself as well as everyone who listens – talking saves lives.
It takes courage to talk.  It takes strength to talk.  Having problems doesn’t make you weak.  Everyone has problems.  Talking will help.
Remember that your thoughts are just thoughts.  You can change your thoughts.
I am continually reminded of the importance of talking.

Learning As I Grow! - Update from the Grow Room and Greenhouse.
Always something to learn in the grow room.
Currently growing is Strawberry Ice, White Queen and Matanuska Thunder.  Legend has it that this variety has its origin in the grasslands of the Matanuska Valley in Alaska.
In the middle of flowering stage for these girls.  5 plants are 2 weeks ahead of the other 2.  I did this for two reasons.  One was because these two each showed the best growth after all seven plants had been topped.  These two seemed to have the most growth the first week after topping, so they were topped again and left in "veg" stage for 2 extra weeks.  The flower pistils have just started to show in the last week for them both.  I am hoping for a good harvest.  Still a long way to go.
As you may notice in the video portion of the Vodcast, is that I have lots of sticky pad mouse traps in my grow room.  Sometimes we have to protect the plants from mice and rats.  This was the first issue I had ever had.  First my smallest sprout was missing overnight.  Then a few days later, a lower limb with two leaves on it had been eaten.  This made me aware that something was coming into the grow room and now likes to eat my plant.  After a bit of research and another encounter on the plants, I decided to take some preventative measures to try and stop the problem.  When I was checking out at The Home Depot, I told the guy as he was scanning all my mouse and rat prevention stuff, "I think a rat is getting to my cannabis grow.  Three of my girls had shavings of plant fiber laying in the dirt.  It looked like a bear had been scratching a cedar tree."  - "Cinnamon" he said...  "Really, cinnamon...I had heard about peppermint, but not cinnamon."  He said "yeah they hate that stuff.  it gets on their fur and feet and in the nostrils, they stay away from it.  Just sprinkle it around your grow and it will help."
So, I told him to forget this stuff, I will try that first....no I bought all the stuff anyway.   Mouse bait, sticky traps of various sizes and brands.  I also got a device that you plug in the socket, and it emits a frequency that annoys and repeals rodents and other little critters.  So far only two occasions when I have seen the return.  The first night a large rodent was caught in a small sticky pad and managed to get all the way to the opposite side of the room leaving a trail of bright green sticky residue along the way before it was able to pull free leaving the pad stuck to a drip towel laying on the floor.  From the amount of hair and the force it must have taken to get free this must be a rat I thought to myself.
So, then I went to the pantry and got the cinnamon.  I turned the fans off after I realized how much cinnamon dust was being circulated in the air.   I put a significant amount on the floor around the table and then around the smart pot fabric planters.
The next day was water day and there were no signs of the problem.
The next day I noticed some little rat footprints in the cinnamon on the floor, but no damage to the plants and only a few tracks.  Knock on wood () I haven't had any plant damage since the cinnamon.  No more traps moved around and hopefully the frequency thing is doing it's job.
One note of caution, your grow room is going to smell like cinnamon for a long time, and if you have air filters, you will notice it circulates for a while.

Currently playing Thursdays 4-6 at BANZOS in Pahoa at the Puna Kai Shopping Center.
Catch me there every Thursday through May!!
Open mic starts at 7.

420 Spliff Giveaway
Our favorite Unofficial Holiday is upon us.  420.  We have discussed in previous episodes about the history of the phrase and how it came to be popular over the last 50 years.  Season 2 Episode 16
I quite often wonder if Cannabis will ever get an official national day of recognition.
And I'm sure some business owners may say, we can't afford to give another paid holiday off.
Let me propose this ...  keep in mind I'm a retired Old Bald guy who grows cannabis as a hobby.  I also do other stuff... but I put this in the perspective of the Employee.
- Instead of a day off with pay
How about you as the employer:
- let us come in late.  No specific time, just late.
- have lots of goodies or food available.  Cookies, candy, chocolate, Pizza and free sodas...you get the idea.
-  let us have a long lunch so we can cruz over and see our buddy and tell him how cool it is to work for such an awesome Boss!
-  After the long lunch, it would be cool if we could play games on our computers
OR even better - set up a PS5 Virtual Play in the conference room (now you will have to purchase that, none of us make enough money to own one of those) ...otherwise the company computer works okay too!
-  Last thing and it's kind of a big one - we want to leave a little before 4pm so we can get to our destination on time.
Also, thank you for the generous $100 gift certificate the company gifted each of us to the local Steak and Seafood Restaurant for National Cannabis Appreciation Day!
That may be a little too much to ask, but we got start somewhere.  I dropped the free cannabis, but feel free to include edibles in the food spread, just be sure to label everything clearly so we don't have another "couch day" like last week...
National Cannabis Appreciation Day!
World Cannabis Day!
Canna Day..., sounds too much like Canada.

I will be making appearances in various locations today.  It is clearly posted on my Insta and Face accounts where I will be and what times.
Come by and show me your 329 card and I will hook you up with a nice spliff that I personally rolled
(video on YouTube) from my grow and harvest of Light of Jah.  I think you will enjoy it.
More stuff to win - details coming up in a few minutes.
Pause for the cause - Cypress Hill - I Want To Get High and Hits from The Bong

More to win??  Yes, come find me and say "GOGI ME" and I will hook you up with special Gogi Flavored Wrap.
I have strawberry, mango, honey and natural gogi flavor.
If nothing else, come hang out and we can jump in the pick-up for a quick sessh... as the kids like to say.  We have to be in our private vehicle or "security" may grumble, and we don't want to cause any problems.  After all we want this to grow (pun intended) and get bigger each year.  I plan on setting up early and staying late, so come on out and have some 420 FUN!
