Who's Got Questions???
a few questions
1.  Congrats on the success with your new sponsor.  Is your Podcast making a profit now?
- No.  I still operate by donations through my website.  click on the little heart and connect to my Venmo for tips.
My deal with Twisted Fusionz is strictly a "Friendship deal".  They are friends of mine and I wanted to help promote the product.  They give me products to sample and give away...and I help promote them.
I told them I am not in this world to make money.  My mission is to stop Veteran Suicide.  All my proceeds go toward that,
this, this podcast, the cards I hand out.  Over 2 thousand cards or "Free Crutches" so far.  I need to get more made pretty soon.
I still accept Donations on the website (click on the heart for the Venmo link).  It's like a tip jar at one of my gigs.
2.  Are you playing music anywhere?  I haven't noticed you posting anything lately.
- I have not been playing.  I had actually contemplated stopping playing.  It's been hard to get motivated to try and find a place to play.  I am not good at booking gigs.  I enjoy playing, but my hands are giving me problems.  I can find lots of reasons to quit, but I can't quit.  I made a promise to keep going and I plan to stick to it.
3.  Sorry to hear about your Veteran Friend Dan who committed suicide.  How are you doing?
- I have mixed emotions about Dan.  It really made me question if what I was doing was making any difference.  Like I said, I'm on this mission to stop veteran's suicide and I feel like I let him down.  I do understand that I can't save everyone, but I have to try and help as many as I can.   That's why I have to keep going out and playing gigs to tell the stories and spread the message that Talking Saves Lives!
4.  Are you still moving back to the mainland? Yes.  Not sure yet when.  We are making slow progress, but progress none the less.  Probably Not going to be by next year, but looking like 2026.
5.  Any giveaway's this year?
Yes.  I posted a video on Instagram for the Buddy Bump Box for King Cones.  Trying to get that on the YouTube.  Turned out pretty good, I may fire one of those up in a bit.  I will have those to give away and also samples from Twisted Fusionz.

Learning As I Grow! -  Update from the
Greenhouse.  A short video in the vodcast gives you a good look at what's "growing on" these days.
I have 1 Light of Jah growing that was germinated on the last weekend of the last year.  Then a few weeks later I germinated a few from the Too Cool strain.  2 weeks later I did Queen of Jah, my own crossbred strain, and a few more Too Cool.  Then 2 weeks after I did Straw Jah and a few more Too Cool.  Staggering the growth to give myself time to harvest each plant in a spread-out time frame.  No need to hurry, to get every plant done in one week.
There is something special going on with this grow.  As I mentioned previously, my friend Dan, ...he was a legend in Northern California in the Golden Years of the Emerald Triangle.  He grew some of the best to ever come out of Humboldt County.
He requested that some of his ashes be used to fertilize a cannabis plant.
Our Friend Suzy and one of Dan's Granddaughters and Daughters came to the Studio (before we had a guest staying here), and we had a nice ceremony for Dan as we put his ashes in the dirt of most of the plants that I previously mentioned.  After that we smoked a doobie of some of his stuff that had been saved and we watched the video that I recorded of Dan.  It was in the Vodcast Rosin vs. Resin.  So that's what's been happening in the Greenhouse and this year's first grow.
As I think about Dan I am reminded again
Talking Saves Lives:
We have lost more soldiers to suicide than to all enemies combined.

50 Years of The Dark Side.
Recently I attended a Planetarium Show that has been given approval by the band Pink Floyd.  It is showing in Planetariums around the world, so find a place and go.  It was incredible.
On the Vodcast You can see a very short video that I bootlegged during the show.

The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on March 1st, 1973.
The Dark Side of the Moon explores themes such as conflict, greed, time, death, and mental illness. Snippets from interviews with the band's road crew and others are featured alongside philosophical quotations.
The engineer Alan Parsons was responsible for many of the sonic aspects of the recording, and for the recruitment of singer Clare Torry, who appears on "The Great Gig in the Sky".  It's the only story of the album I will bore you with today.
Clare Torry, a session singer and songwriter and a regular at Abbey Road. Parsons liked her voice, and when the band decided to use a female vocalist, he suggested that she could sing on the track.
The band explained the album concept to her, but they were unable to tell her exactly what she should do, and David Gilmour, who was in charge of the session, asked her to try to express emotions rather than sing words.
In a few takes on a Sunday night, Torry improvised a wordless melody to accompany Wright's emotive piano solo. She was initially embarrassed by her exuberance in the recording booth and wanted to apologies to the band, who were impressed with her performance but did not tell her so.
Her takes were edited to produce the version used on the track.  She left the studio under the impression that her vocals would not make the final cut, and she only became aware that she had been included in the final mix when she picked up the album at a local record store and saw her name in the credits.  For her contribution she was paid her standard session fee of £30, equivalent to about £420 in 2024.
In 2004, Torry sued EMI and Pink Floyd for 50% of the songwriting royalties, arguing that her contribution to "The Great Gig in the Sky" was substantial enough to be considered co-authorship. The case was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum, with all post-2005 pressings crediting Wright and Torry jointly.
One of the greatest selling album's of all times.  This is not the remastered version, this is the original, for those curious minds.
Enjoy - The Dark Side of the Moon
