Learning As I Grow ! -  Update from the 
Greenhouse.  A short video in the vodcast gives you a good look at what's "growing on" these days.  It's that time of the grow for some of the plants to be switched over to the flowering phase.  This means the plants need 12 hours of darkness to start prodcuing flowers.  
3 weeks back, I moved 2 Queen of Jah and 4 Too Cool's.  
First day of spring, I moved the Biggest Girl - Light of Jah and a big pot with 2 plants each Queen of Jah.  
I had one runt that I moved in the house, and I will see how it works out trying to make a small plant with one big flower!
Others are still in the vegetative phase and are on a 18/6-time schedule.   Some people like to go 24-hour light schedule, but I do not.  I found that the amount of energy required from the Batteries doesn't equally overall growth or output of the plant.  Other growers will tell you that your plant needs some darkness when in veg phase, but not everyone agrees.
Normally I would move the plants in and out of the grow room during the 12 and 12 schedule, but with a guest staying here I put them on the other side of the House where it stays dark at night.
So far so good, hopefully we can continue to a successful harvest of these plants.  I'm looking forward to the smell of fresh flowers for the next few months.

Smile - Life is Short
I have this place I go to everyday.  When I sit there and look down, I have a reminder.  A short message to remind me not to take myself or life too seriously.  A reminder to quit stressing about things to come or things already done.  A quick reminder that I wrote to myself a few years ago when I was working on this land.  I knew there would be days when it would be necessary to see this message and remember not only the day it was literally written in stone, but all the days that had led up to that moment.  I really thought at the time that future generations would see it and think fondly of me.  But I think as it turns out only a few guests and the future owners (a few years from now) will be the only people to view it in person.  
When I was pouring the concrete for the bathroom, probably the hardest part of that project, I decided that I wanted to scroll something on the floor in front of the toilet.  I had seen these signs on a few trees around the area, randomly placed, that read "Smile - Life is Good".  I really thought that was a good message.  So, on the day that I poured the "mud" (concrete) in the area around the drain for the toilet, I decided to put a Smiley Face and that message in the wet concrete so it would be there forever.  However, on the day I was finishing up that part of the job, I was pretty dehydrated and couldn't remember what the sign said exactly.  So, I just put it the way I saw it - Smile Life is Short!

It's a little worn down, but the message is still there.  Smile - Life is Short.  
Although it seems slow sometimes in the moment, it goes by really fast when you start looking back.  
I was trying to decide what to write about in this episode and one morning it was right there in front of me!
