420 Time

Toke time – Let’s fire it up!  You got yurin and I gotts minz so let’s get lifted…let’s get “tuneted”…let’s get hi !!!

PFC Song – This is a hidden track on the ablum Soul Gravy from my friend Cody’s band Cross Canadian Ragweed and there cover of “Stranglehold” – Cody Canada interview coming in a few weeks.  He told me for sure they are going to re-record the hidden track from the album Soul Gravy.  Yes, he is re-recording previously recorded albums… He and I sat down for over an hour in his studio in Shertz Tx,… more on that in the interview in a few weeks.

Wise Words “Know thyself” – Plato

Story Time – Where, when, what …The Texas Deer Camp Tour was a big success.  I was able to see lot’s of people, do some traveling around Texas and Oklahoma, played music, and found my way to the woods.  I was blessed to harvest meat for myself, and over a dozen others.  Donating meat was part of the plan as I could only fly back with 50lbs.   Checked bags had to be exact so I wouldn’t have to pay for extra.  Note to anyone thinking of flying with meat in a cooler- Airlines have special requirements for Dry Ice – check with your airline before showing up at check in.  I had everything frozen with a few blocks of Ice in to keep it cool.  Everything made it no problem.

Off course my primary goal was to spend time with Mom.  We had a nice time with the Family at Thanksgiving.  After being gone for over 3 years it was surprising to see how big our family had grown.  So many little keiki’s running around.  And the ones that were keiki’s are now grown.  I didn’t even recognize my niece Destiny.  A true reminder of how fast time goes.  I was very happy to get to spend time with my brother.  We took a road trip to Oklahoma and stopped at a Dispensary for an interview (video to come soon).

I was lucky to be able to stay at a cabin in the woods while I was gone.  Thanks to my extended ohana – Brent and Amber – Mahalo Nui Loa for all of your Aloha and hospitality.

When I left, I thought I was going on Vacation…after being back there for a few days I realized that I had been on vacation for over 3 years and now I was home.  Coming back to the Island feels like being on vacation again.  It’s hard to explain and even more difficult to understand totally, but it is how I feel.  Living here, on this mountain, in this jungle, doing the Off-Grid Life, it feels like a permanent vacation.

So – How did I get this joint back here to the studio? – I will tell you the whole story coming up next after another Pause -…

PFC Song “The Great Pacific Garbage Patch” – Todd Snider from the album First Agnostic Church of Hope and Wonder…dig it.

Great show at the Texan Theater in Greenville Texas on December 3rd.  I have some footage of that show that I will share in an upcoming video.

So much to do and so much to tell you…

This joint – basically it was not planned this way.  I had been back timing until my flight for a few days before I flew.  I had this one joint that I was going to smoke after dropping of the rental Car.  I rented the car through an app called Toro.  It is basically renting a car from a person, not a company.  Thanks to Brennan and his car for the experience.  Of course, it was Non-smoking, so I planned to burn this joint when I got to the drop off spot, before I loaded up in an Uber.  On this Tuesday morning the Parking Garage was busy with people when I parked the car, so I waited a few minutes to fire it up.  I decided to get the Uber so I would be ready by the time it arrived.  Being my first time to Uber, I was not aware how fast it would arrive.  Before I had the car unloaded, Uber was there.  I told the driver he got there quick, I was about to smoke a joint, but I’m glad we are on the way to DFW.  So, the plan changed… I will smoke in a discreet spot somewhere outside the airport.  Usually, you can stand in a smoking section and smoke a joint without too many people noticing.  Expecting there to be Curbside bag check, I was going to drop my bags and then walk over to smoke…but the computer was down, so the Checker loaded all my stuff and took it up stairs and I had to follow…so I just stuck this tube a spare shoe in a checked bag and let it fly.  Wasn’t the original plan, but I’m glad it made it.  Just as I did with the deer meat, I was fortunate enough to be able to share some great flower and concentrates with my friends.  In addition to the Super Silver Haze, I had flower strains of Rainbow, Waikiki Queen, Bon Bon Damore, and a few others.  Some very good products from Oklahoma.  I was focused mostly on the concentrates and ingestibles, but they had several different flower strains to choose from.

It was great to show people how to use the Unicorn Lookah.  I thought that 10 seconds was about average, it turned out to be the 10 second challenge.

Smoked several joints with several friends.  After a gig one night a few of my fellow Commerce Tiger’s and I gathered around for a great story and really an interesting way to look at those dirty sheep…

Todd Snider – The Mushroom Story.

Learning As I Grow! – While I was away there was a big storm that came through causing some minor roof damage and an issue with the power system.  Still working on getting everything worked out, but we are up and running.  The studio is still being put back together.

Most of my time has been focused on the Greenhouse.  Cleaning and prepping for new seeds.  I ordered 10 seeds from AMS, (mistakenly referred to Amsterdam Seed Co, it is actually Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds) the last week of December.  The seeds arrived last week, and they immediately were placed in the pods for germinating.  In addition to the seeds, we also ordered some new 5-gallon fabric pots.  The strain that I choose for the first grow of the season is the same as I recommended for our New Jersey listener, Afghan.

The Afghan feminized seeds from – Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds, is a 100% Indica-dominant strain, with 0% Sativa.  This is a version of the “Landrace Strain” Afghan Kush.

Afghan is used as the parental figure to most Kush strains such as White Widow.

Characteristics Of Pure Afghan:

  • Short. Afghan strain is among the shortest, rare to find an indoor-grown strain growing past the 2ft mark. In fact, most of her strains grow to heights ranging between 18 and 20 inches.

·         Afghan plants are small in size, but bushy, which means she is fantastic for commercial growers since they economize on space; thus, making them able to cultivate more strains in a limited space.  Also good for those of us with limited grow space.

·         Resistant to molds, pests, diseases, and unanticipated weather changes. Necessarily, she is sturdy, where her full capability gets even further shown when the critical factors of cultivation get considered.

  • Massive buds, with thick and round leaves, but it’s quite daunting to see her resinous crystals sine they get enclosed in her bushy leaves and buds. These make her ideal for growing even in a mountainous region, thanks to her adaption to cold areas, as is the case with her history, Afghanistan Mountains.

  • Pure Afghan strain produces intense aromas, and this means you may consider cultivating her further away from people.

Afghan also grows fast, and it shouldn’t surprise you to find her flowering between 8 and 9 weeks when grown indoors. In the case of an outdoor growing setup, you may be sure that the yields will be ready between September and October.

Her easy growing difficulty is another bonus. This medical Indica-strain is used for alleviating conditions such as insomnia and mental disorders, as well as enhancing profound relaxation.

Look forward to updates along the way about the Afghan strain and my next few grows that I will be ordering seeds for soon – Durban Poison and Purple Power.

I remind myself as well as everyone who listens – talking saves lives.

It takes courage to talk.  It takes strength to talk.  Having problems doesn’t make you weak.  Everyone has problems.  Talking can help.
